Ben Drutman

Ben serves as President of the Ronald M. Simon Family Foundation, where he plays a vital role in advancing the Foundation’s mission of preparing students facing difficult life and economic circumstances with the essential skills, mindset, and network to excel in high school, college, and into their careers.

Previously, Ben was Executive Director of the Simon Scholars Program, where he successfully streamlined operations, added key personnel, and raised funds necessary to support the growth to 200 scholars per year.

Residing in Orange County with wife and two young children, his personal and professional life is deeply rooted in the community he serves. His leadership at the Foundation and commitment to serving on several boards reflect his dedication to making a meaningful impact.

Ben holds a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Management and completed his MBA at the University of California, Irvine.

Andy Robles

Andy graduated from CSU San Bernardino with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and went on to earn an MBA from the University of Redlands in 2009. As the first in his family to obtain a college degree, Andy’s journey has not only been about personal achievement but also about breaking barriers and setting an example for future generations.

Andy’s career began in the nonprofit sector in 2006. In 2012, Andy joined Simon Scholars as a program coordinator and quickly rose through the ranks to become the Director of Programs. In 2017, he accepted an opportunity in the Bay Area, where he focused on building academic support programs for underserved students. Upon his return to Simon Scholars as Executive Director in 2022, Andy drove the creation of the inaugural Alumni chapter and introduced an added emphasis on workforce readiness.

Gail Kairis

Gail’s expertise is in the development of highly specialized career training programs at the secondary level.  She serves as the Executive Director of the Simon Builders Program where she works with a team of educational and industry professionals to design, pilot and implement all the essential elements of a quality program from marketing and recruiting to effective core instruction, a Tiny House building project and paid work experience.

The goal of the Simon Builders Program is to instill integrity, confidence, resilience, and an entrepreneurial spirit into students along with strong entry-level technical skills to provide them the greatest opportunity for success in their life and career.
